Our method

A short introductory about our way of the work

As a G.P. (general practitioner, family doctor), I completed my master degree at the Vrije Universiteit in the Netherlands. This means we follow the Dutch guidelines, which ensure evidence-based medical care. We also adhere to national Dutch prevention programs, such as cervical screening every 5 years from age 30 to 60  and breast cancer screening every 2 to 3 years from age 50 till 75. In the Netherlands, you always visit a GP first, before you get acces to a specialist. The GP will decide if a specialist is needed. This might be a different way than in other countries where you can go directly to a specialist. To learn more about the Ducht health care system please inform yourself , for example https://www.thuisarts.nl/dutch-healthcare

We work without direct phone calls picked up by a doctor’s assistant on the phone, You cannot call here. Instead you always make first a call bakc appointment (https://www.huisartsensloterdijk.nl/en/contact/make-a-telephone-appointment/  )patients have direct contact with their GP. As we only work by scheduled appointments, you’ll hardly encounter any waiting times and you will usually find a quiet waiting room.

Consult by phone
You can schedule a telephone consultation with your GP by making a call-back appointment. You will be called back by one of the general practitioners at the agreed time. It is often no longer necessary to come to the consultation hour. If it is necessary, you will be given an appointment.

Patient portal
You can arrange many things yourself via the portal on your smartphone, tablet or computer. Safely and easily request repeat medication, request an e-consultation and view results. Request your login details by telephone. To get acces to the portal, you have to schedule an appointment (first by phone  https://www.huisartsensloterdijk.nl/en/contact/make-a-telephone-appointment/)   with Noor, the assistance,  to verify your ID (identity) with ID card of passport. This is mendatory by law, as you get acces to medical information.

Flexdokters way of work

Our practice is affiliated with Flexdokters, a cooperation initiative of general practioners. This offers a number of advantages for patients and GP, where the relationship between GP and patient always comes first.

In a Flexdokters practice, patients have direct contact with their GP. This means you only have to tell your story once. Your question can often be answered immediately. Doesn’t that work? Make a follow-up appointment at the practice with your GP. Easy and fast, as you don’t have to come to the practice for every question.

We ask you to schedule appointments yourself. We work by appointment only, there are hardly any waiting times and you will usually find a quiet waiting room. This ensures a lot of peace and quiet in the practice and during your consultation with the doctor. Pleasant for you and for the doctor.

Arrange it yourself

You can arrange many things yourself online on this website. To help you as best as possible, we have clearly presented the most important information below.

If you want to make an appointment with the doctor, you can do so online. This can be done at any time of the day and week. So you no longer have to wait on the phone or at the counter.
You can also easily ask a question or send a photo via the website. Useful for non-urgent questions or if you want to send a photo of, for example, a spot on your skin.
Would you like to request a repeat prescription, view your medical file or results? You no longer have to call the practice for this. You can arrange all this via the website in the portal.

FAQ

These frequently asked questions have been compiled based on questions we receive frequently.
